Leanings: It takes two can't be played with only one keyboard of the same computer. At least one controller is needed. Switch pro controllers can in fact be used, they are supported by steam (as well as PS4, 5 and Xbox) - it took for me to find the settings. It takes two is a really cool game.
I downloaded it through Steam using the It Takes Two Friend's Pass button (a friend owns it and we're supposed to play it together). When I first tried to launch the game it asked me to link my Steam Account to the EA app and so I did.

I bought It Takes Two from Steam on Jul 26th 2023 and played it no problem on 27th and 28th Jul, then come 29th and today we can't launch it either through Steam or through the EA Launcher. It starts to launch. The play button changes to 'cancel', then 'stop' and then it fails after a couple of seconds. Steam updates to say 'last played today'.
Clear EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery) Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance. Close other running applications on your device. Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates.
Make sure Origin is authorized by your anti-virus and firewall. Reset Internet Explorer Settings. Untick the options in LAN Settings ( make sure nothing is checked under Proxy Server ) Disable Changing Internet Explorer’s Proxy Settings: Type gpedit.msc in the Start menu’s search box and then press Enter.

Dec 12, 2021 · We can try a few things to fix this: Go to Settings > Application and make sure that the overlay is enabled. Launch the EA app as an administrator. Perform a Clean Boot of Windows and only launch the EA app and It Takes Two. We do this to rule out any other apps interfering with the EA app/overlay.
