  2. In many ways, the film feels like an extended video game cut scene, climaxing in a series of boss fights. I compare the way Jackson staged the Battle of Five Armies to Helm's Deep or Pelennor Fields, and what the latter two had, that Five Armies did not, was a sense of character. Helm's Deep and Pelennor Fields involved characters we had met ...

  4. Jan 6, 2024 · Battle of Five Armies. Trolls unaffected by sunlight? Question. It was heavily established in The unexpected journey that Trolls cannot withstand sunlight. 5. Aug 22, 2022 · The Hobbit Battle of Five Armies Extended Edition is pretty solid. Reread the hobbit and am now watching the extended editions of the Hobbit. The battle of five armies has some pretty neat added scenes. 6. Apr 29, 2023 · the Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies The two evil armies shouldn't have been two separate groups of "orcs" led by Azog and Bolg from Dol Guldur and Gundabad - it should have been an army of "orcs" riding wargs led by Azog/Bolg, and the second army should've been an army of "goblins" from Goblin Town, seeking vengeance for the Goblin King's death.

  7. Jan 31, 2019 · Released while the Battle of Five Armies was still in theaters, it received a lot of press for being the first fan edit of the Hobbit trilogy. However, the audio/visual quality was quite poor. All of the footage from the Battle of Five Armies actually came from a pirated screener DVD, which looks awful on any screen.

  8. Nov 17, 2020 · How to finally get Battle of the Five Armies into Lego the Hobbit. So I know everyone's upset about Lego not adding the 3rd Hobbit movie in the Hobbit Game, but I think I know a way they still could even after all these years. Three words: Middle Earth Collection.

  9. Aug 5, 2015 · They watered everything down and padded the plotlines in order to stretch the material into three films. The extended cut of the final installment is so gruesome that it necessitates an R-rating, thus limiting its interaction with its intended audience: children. It's a fucking children's book, you bastards.

  10. First Hobbit film? Actually pretty good. Second? Solid, but it had some odd moments, boring moments, and then stops right before the climax with Smaug. Third film? Really bad. Creates a lot of new stuff, most of which is junk. The battle has a lot of weird and stupid moments. The CGI goes way over the top and looks mediocre several times.
