There is just something about the way the white two-color dial plays against the black acrylic bezel. Of course, the 6263 mimics the 6265 technically with the Valjoux 727 inside, with screw-down pushers.

Depending on the exact edition and reference, the average level of appreciation is around the 50% mark. In June 2022, the most expensive model was the extremely rare ref. 6264 crafted from 18-karat gold at around 915,000 USD.
First thing to know, Paul Newman Daytona is a sports watch and can only have the reference number 6239, 6241, 6262, 6263, 6264 or 6265. These numbers must be featured in order for the Rolex to be authenticated. Furthermore, all of the Paul Newman Daytona references have domed crystals made of acrylic.
In 1988, a stainless "Paul Newman" Daytona (Ref. 6241) was listed in an auction catalog with an estimated closing price of $3,000 to $3,500. In 2013, during a special Rolex Daytona-themed auction held in Geneva on 10 November, Christie's sold a rare Rolex Daytona Ref. 6263 in steel, manufactured in 1969, for SFr 989000 (well over one million US dollars).

The back is engraved with the words "Drive Carefully Me" and the inscription is still fully visible and crisp on the caseback ...
