  6. United College was founded in 1956 through the amalgamation of five post-secondary colleges which were originally private universities in Guangzhou and its vicinity and which were closely related to higher education in Hong Kong.

These scholarships aim to promote and foster ethical, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic development in students as well as to help them in financial matters.
