The programme aims to teach swimming proficiency and water survival skills in a fun manner. These skills are necessary to help reduce the number of drowning incidents in Singapore. The SwimSafer programme consists of 6 stages.

SwimSafer Stage 1. Introduction to Water Skills. The objective is develop confidence and independence in the water, learn general and deep-end water safety. Techniques taught include the forward and backward movement, safe entry and exit and personal water safety. SwimSafer Stage 1 Test Criteria. Entries & Exits. Slide-in entry.
SwimSafer aims to teach water skill and swimming proficiency to children and adults to minimize drowning incidents in Singapore that mostly occurs in open water. The programme focuses on swimming competencies and survival skills, through a stronger emphasis on students' practice time and skills progression.
Swim Safer Stage 1 | Singapore National Swim Certifications. In SwimSafer Stage 1, the objective is to gain confidence and develop independence in the water. This stage will also introduce you to general and deep-end water safety.
