Oct 4, 2021 · PHX has been exclusively an Airbus base since the 757's were parked approximately 18 mths ago. 738/M's transit PHX all day long but are flown by pilots from "other" bases. There haven't been 737 pilots based in PHX since LUS purged the 733/734 from their pre/post merger fleet. No 777 or 787 pilots based in PHX either.

From what I remember the F-14 Tomcat could carry up to 4 x AIM-54 Phoenix missiles each on it's own pallet carried under the pancake. I've been told that the pancake posed a drag problem on aircraft as you had interference drag interactions between the two nacelles.
