Community Chest. We engage the community through fundraising and volunteering, empowering social service users to lead a life of dignity.
Community Chest is a non-profit organisation that raises funds for more than 100 social service agencies in Singapore. It supports five causes: children, adults, mental health, seniors and families in need of assistance.
Community Chest was established in 1983 to raise funds for the many social service agencies in Singapore. The public funds raised through Community Chest are channelled to programmes that provide direct social support services and are relevant and critical to helping the disadvantaged.
Community Chest is a non-profit organisation that raises funds for social welfare services in Hong Kong. It allocates 100% of donations to 168 member agencies and 316 social service projects, and provides newsletters and other donation channels.
Community Chests, commonly referred to as community trusts, community foundations and united way organizations, are endowment funds pooled from a community for the purpose of charitable giving. The first Community Chest, "Community Fund", was founded in 1913 in Cleveland, Ohio, by the Federation for Charity and Philanthropy.
