Grace Chatto (born 10 December 1985) is an English musician and singer who is the cellist, backing vocalist and occasional main vocalist, for the electronic music band Clean Bandit . Education. Chatto attended Latymer School [1] and Westminster School, as well as the Royal Academy of Music.
The group currently consists of founder Grace Chatto and brothers Jack and Luke Patterson. [2] . Jack Patterson is the principal songwriter and has been awarded two Ivor Novellos for the writing of "Rather Be". Many of their projects are known for blending elements of both classical and dance music, and featuring guest vocalists.
The band met while studying at Cambridge University, and comprises the Patterson brothers Jack (producer and multi-instrumentalist), Luke (a drummer/remixer), and Grace Chatto, a classically trained cellist. In between studying Russian she and the brothers ran a club night that saw Joy Orbison and James Blake make early appearances.
