Chuo University has six campuses in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. The Tama Campus is surrounded by the lush greenery of suburban western Tokyo; the Korakuen Campus, Ichigaya Tamachi Campus, Myogadani Campus, Surugadai Campus and Koishikawa Campus are conveniently located in downtown Tokyo.
In 1920, Chuo University was accredited under the Order, and the Faculties of Law, Economics, and Commerce, a graduate school, and college preparatory courses were established, all of which came together to constitute a university under the old, pre-war education system.
