The Glorft have constructed a new mech that combines Glorft technology with the humans' modifications to the stolen Avatar prototype: the result is a new mech designed to capture Megas. The Glorft commander asks Gorrath to select a pilot for this new machine, but Gorrath selects himself.

Meanwhile, at Coop's house, Coop works on his car, while Jamie observes a girl walk across the street. According to Coop, Jamie has been staring at the same girl for the past four weeks and Jamie has been too afraid to talk to her, but Jamie replies that he has been waiting for the right time. Coop immediately talks to her and she immediately takes a liking to his car, thinking it belongs to Jamie. In order to impress the girl, Jamie borrows Coop's car to take her for a ride and promises to be back soon.

Just as Jamie and Gina depart from the house, Kiva asks Coop about the car, wanting him to return to his training, and Coop tells her about what happened. Shocked that Coop lent the car to Jamie, Kiva reminds him that the car is Megas' control center. Without it, Coop has no way to control Megas. Coop replies that he shut down Megas' control systems before he lent the car to Jamie, so it's just a regular car. To calm her down, he invites her to play video games with him.

Their video game match gets interrupted just when Gorrath makes landfall with his new machine and starts destroying the city. Coop is forced to activate Megas, even without the car to control it. Coop says that he installed a secondary command bridge to control Megas without the car, but he admits that he is still modifying it. While Kiva attempts to communicate with Jamie to see if he can return the car, Coop attempts to reach Gorrath. With great difficulty, Megas does reach Gorrath's new machine, which Coop and Kiva dub "Mecha-Megas".

Angry that Gorrath stole his design, Coop attempts to fight, but because he hasn't properly modified the control systems at the secondary bridge, he ends up causing more damage to Megas and the city than to Mecha-Megas. To make matters worse, Jamie has accidentally activated Megas' control systems, so he ends up taking control of Megas away from Coop.

Jamie's date with Gina gets interrupted by Megas' battle and Jamie understands that without the car, Coop is defenseless. As the Glorft capture Megas, Jamie decides to help his friends, all the while dragging a reluctant Gina along the way. He attempts to rettach the car to Megas but he gets himself captured by Gorrath. Fortunately, Gina pushes a button that activates Megas' atomic disruption cannon, which distracts Gorrath long enough to release the car and return it to Megas.

Megas walks into the sea, while Goat waves at it.

•At about 16:22 in the episode, when MEGAS punches the Glorft mech, the car can be seen on MEGAS's head, even though Jamie and the car had not yet joined with the body.

•Megas having a silver double is reminiscent of Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla.
