Jury and Executioner is the sixth episode of the first season and the sixth overall episode of The Endgame.
An inmate on a quest for redemption escapes prison. Jonathan Doak comes up with a plan to take back one of the banks.
When Elena Federova
The episode opens on Val Turner and Elena Federova in Federova's cell after Federova gave her Isaac Bigby's address. Val accuses Elena of being cruel and trying to manipulate her. Elena compliments Val's investigative skills and says that she understand why Val might feel like that. Val points out that she could easily kill Elena before anyone could stop her. Elena says that she's trying to free Val from her past and she has given Val the truth in an "act of a true friend."
Elena tells Val that the death of Isaac Bigby was faked and that, should Val investigate the address she gave her, she'll find out that Bigby is still alive. She claims that she's trying to help Val deal with the grief she has over her mother's death by giving her the opportunity to kill the man who destroyed her life. Elena asks Val how well she sleeps as Val is leaving.
Val goes home and destroys the address that Elena had left for her to find. She picks up a photo of her mother and herself and hears gunshots as her apartment is shot at. She wakes up to find herself in her chair, still holding the paper after inadvertently falling asleep. She then goes to the address and watches the apartment while Anthony Flowers looks up the name of the resident living at the given address.
The tenant is listed as Lawrence Oliver but Val points out that it could be a fake name. Anthony only got surface level information because he was worried about Val staring at her mother's killer and making the wrong choice. She tells him that she's torn up about everything that's happened and, now knowing that Bigby might still be alive, she doesn't know what to do. Anthony convinces her to get coffee with him and they leave together in the car.
Rogelio Réal meets with Caroline Walsh, a judge who he is implied to have a romantic relationship with when they were in college. Caroline says that she doesn't need protection and her presence in the photograph is purely coincidental. She insists that she has dealt with this before and Rogelio tells her that she's part of the pattern and in danger.
