Growing Up was one of the English-language dramas in Singapore (aired on Channel 5) which was produced by MediaCorp, it had a total of six seasons and the show was set between the 1960s to the 1980s. The show debuted in 1996 and the final season of the show was screened in December 2001.
Jiang Shao Wen, Hong JIng and Su Yaozu are national servicemen from the same camp, awaiting discharge. Hong and Su are close friends who constantly help each other, while Jian and Su's former classmate. Su is interested in a girl, Lu Xiuhua, who regularly sells sugar-cane juice outside the camp.
