May 16, 2015 · Luang Phor Koon was born in 4 October 1923 (BE 2466). Luang Por Koon was ordained as a monk at the age of 21 years old at Wat Thanon Hak Yai on 5th May 1944 (BE2487). Phra Kru Wichan Dtigit was the preceptor and Phra Kru Atigahn Trong Suk was his dhamma teacher.

Luang Phor Koon (LP Koon) was born on the 4th day of October in 1923 (B.E.2466) in a small village called Ban Rai, Dan Khun Thod District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province (It is also commonly known as Korat).
Luang Por Koon is internationally renowned and revered for building at least three hospitals and schools and assisting in funding many other temples, and to the day of his passing, donating to social community aid projects and for the good of the community each day.

Aug 12, 2023 · LP Koon, full name Luang Pu Koon Parisutto, was born on Thursday, 4th October B.E.2466 (A.D.1923). He was raised in a well-off family but both his parents passed away when LP Koon was still young. Thereafter all his siblings, with LP Koon being the youngest, stayed with their grandfather.
Luang Por Koon is a highly revered monk because of the fact that all the funds he has ever raised from amulets has been piled into the public benefit, such as schools, hospitals and roads, as well as charitable projects. This has made LP Koon one of Thailands most beloved monks with local Thai Folk.
