The concept of Nanyang Old Coffee is from the early 1940s where the coffeeshop roasted their coffee beans at their backyard and ground it for daily use. Replicating the good old days, our customers are served like friends in a cosy environment.
Yong Seng Coffee specialises in Singapore's favourite - traditional Nanyang coffee, a.k.a. kopi. We have served our many blends of traditional kopi for over 40 years, in addition to a selection of dry-roasted coffee of various origins including Indonesia, Malaysia and Colombia.

Aug 25, 2022 · Instead of Arabica beans commonly used in Western-style espresso, Nanyang-style, or Hainan kopi incorporates Robusta coffee beans, which have a more earthy, robust finish. For each stall, we ordered four cups: kopi o, kopi c siew dai, iced kopi, and one specialty coffee.
Nanyang Coffee is a local specialty product of Singapore and Malaysia, with a history of about 100 years. In the 1950s’ (1950-1959), Chinese immigrants from Hainan travelled to Nanyang and integrated the roasting technology of Western-style coffee.
