The Prefect Investiture is the avenue for them to be formally appointed and introduced to the school body. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a pre-recorded video of the Prefect Investiture was played in every class to introduce the Prefects and explain their roles.
Putting their learning into practice, JPS prefects play active roles in the planning and execution of the school’s annual commemorative events such as Racial Harmony Day and National Day. They also serve the school through roles such as assembly parade commander and recess I/Cs.

As part of student leadership development, our school invests in our Prefects to enable them to lead and serve the school meaningfully and effectively. Annually, we have been gathering as a school to recognise and affirm our Prefects for their service and contribution through an important ceremony, the Leaders’ Investiture.
