Dr Agnes Tan is the first surgeon to be exit-certified in Hand Surgery in Singapore. She was appointed Consultant in 1993, Senior Consultant in 1998 and subsequently Head of Department in 2003. She relinquished the headship position in April 2009 and was then appointed Director Medical Affairs, SGH.
