Reed Richards, also known as Mr. Fantastic, gained his superpowers during a flight into space. He and his friends were exposed to Cosmic Rays, which endowed them with fantastic abilities. As Mr. Fantastic, Richards uses his pliable body and unparalleled intellect for the betterment of the human race.
He was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. The character is a founding member and the leader of the Fantastic Four. Richards has a mastery of mechanical, aerospace and electrical engineering, chemistry, all levels of physics, and human and alien biology.
