Henderson is a home rule-class city along the Ohio River and the county seat of Henderson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 29,781 at the 2020 U.S. census. It is part of the Evansville–Henderson, IN–KY Metropolitan Area, locally known as the "Tri-State Area," and is considered the southernmost suburb of Evansville, Indiana.

- John James Audubon State Park. In the north of Henderson, the John James Audubon State Park is on 700 acres of hilly woodland, a big portion of which is old-growth.
- Downtown Henderson. One of the special things about Henderson’s historic downtown area is its waterfront location, with a broad stretch of the Ohio River always visible in the west, and a beautiful glow as the sun goes down.
- Audubon Mill Park. On a sunny day it’s hard to think of a prettier place to be than this downtown riverside park, with soaring old trees and clear lines of sight down the riverbend.
- W.C. Handy Blues & Barbecue Festival. The largest of Henderson’s raft of summer events is a four-day music and food extravaganza at Audubon Mill Park in mid-June.

This paved 2.5-mile (5-mile round trip) walkway runs along (and well above) the Ohio River, extending from Downtown Henderson northward past three small city parks and some fine homes, ending in the sprawling Atkinson Park with its disc golf course, ballfields, sand volleyball court and other features.

Henderson lies at the intersection of US highways 41 and 60. US 41 provides access from the north and south, while US 60 can be used to access the city from the east and west. Two of Kentucky's parkways terminate in Henderson.
