Llandaff (/ l æ n ˈ d æ f /; Welsh: Llandaf [ɬanˈdaːv]; from llan 'church' and Taf) is a district, community and coterminous electoral ward in the north of Cardiff, capital of Wales. It was incorporated into the city in 1922.

Named as one of the best urban places to live in the UK, Llandaff is a historic Cathedral City within a City. It is also the birthplace of much-loved Children’s author Roald Dahl and the home of Doctor Who. The city of Llandaff also has its own stunning Cathedral, dating back to 1107.
The Llandaff campus is situated right next to the Taff Trail, a popular national cycle route leading from the city centre as far north as Merthyr Tydfil.
Llandaff is the home of the Cardiff School of Sport & Health Sciences (Llandaff), Cardiff School of Management, Cardiff School of Technologies and the Cardiff School of Art & Design. The campus is located approximately two miles from the city centre, surrounded by numerous parks, playing fields and the historic village of Llandaff.
Llandaff is one of the most beautiful cathedrals I've laid eyes on. The grounds are remarkable, the interior is gorgeous..I just wish I had been able to go to a service there. It's nestled in a lush, green area that just screams serenity and beauty.

It was built in 1120 under Norman rule, on the site of an earlier existing church.
