Jun 4, 2021 · Before Sunrise has the best ending I've ever seen. First one is 11/10, second one is 10/10, but the last one imo is 6/10. The third is definately the weakest, but I would put Sunset over Sunrise. The dialogue and characterization felt sharper and I liked the real-time aspect of it.

Not the ones who felt a sense of belonging, when they first met. Their life goals have shifted, aspirations have made compromises and they don't hold the system or government accountable in a big way now.

The plots were very simple, yet really realistic, relatable and dramatic. The trilogy magnificiently captured the overwhelming force of time, which we rarely take notice of. The European setting was also romantic. Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy really did a good job of making the movies feel extremely realistic.

Has only 3 characters, is set entirely inside an hotel room, takes place in real time and it's awesome. Watch before sunrise, then take a day and watch boyhood, then take another day and watch before midnight. . Don't binge em.
Jul 20, 2022 · The pseudo intellectual conversation. Laying down on the grass at night and feeling that rich emotional connection with someone. The way they explicitly described time stopping for them as dream like, as if they were in some sort of trance. The way the hours dragged by too slowly and yet not slow enough.

Feb 1, 2022 · There's a reason the film opens with the dialogue of an unhappy couple. Everything is called into question. Celine and Jesse are aware that they could one day be that unhappy couple. The struggle between naivety (idealism) and cynicism is central. And it's something that you seem to overlook.
