Dąbrowa Górnicza (Polish pronunciation: [dɔmˈbrɔva ɡurˈɲit͡ʂa] ⓘ, German: Dombrowa) is a city in Zagłębie Dąbrowskie, southern Poland, near Katowice and Sosnowiec. It is located in eastern part of the Silesian Voivodeship , on the Czarna Przemsza and Biała Przemsza rivers (tributaries of the Vistula , see Przemsza ).

Dąbrowa Górnicza is home to a significant part of the Błędowska Desert, called the Polish Sahara. The city's biggest tourist attraction are the lakes commonly known as Pogoria lakes. The largest of them is Kuźnica Warężyńska with a dam, and it is a perfect destination for tourist trips.
