Oct 21, 2020 · Instead Hrolfr de Normandie could either be a count in the duchy Sjaelland, or a count controlling Rouen and Eu (for the record, the actual CK3 count of Rouen, Renaud Rorgonid was count of "Herbeuge" located in the CK3 Montaigu county and was probably busy fighting Hasteinn, and the CK3 count of Eu Herluin de Ponthieu didn't exist at this time).
Suppose for illustration that I'm the king of France and I attack England for the duchy of Normandy. The current holder X of Normandy (not the king of England) has no other ducal titles; he holds an assortment of scattered counties, but only one county in de jure Normandy. He has one count vassal who holds a county in Normandy.

Normandy as a concept not a place: Any norse ruler owning a duchy with french culture can transform that duchy into the duchy of normandy and creating the norman culture, not just nustria. Normandy is the land of the Nord-men after all right?
Sep 7, 2020 · In my Normandy example, the 'cannot revoke title' blocker should be applied to the County of Evreux (as revoking that would indeed leave him landless with a higher title, which shouldn't be allowed) instead of the Duchy of Normandy. The blocker appears to get applied to the highest title or the first in the list, instead of the county.
So, for example, you could find a claimant to Normandy, press his claim, and Normandy would return to France, even if you didn't land him first. However, if any of the duchies outside of your control are de jure parts of another kingdom (say Aquitaine), you'll need to land them first (even a barony will do) otherwise they'll take the land but not be your vassals.

Apr 30, 2020 · Thus giving its name to the duchy (Normandy). But in the 769 and 867 starts, the name of the duchy is still Normandy which is an anachronistic situation. This duchy's name should be changed to "Duchy of Northern France" or something like that in the 769 and 867 starts. Thanks to Paradox for their interest.
