Jan 12, 2015 · Ahh there you go. No need to create a GameSpy account. After you've launched from GameRanger, it should join automatically. If it does take you to the GameSpy login screen in SWBF2, just ignore it and click the Join tab. And thanks for the kind words.

Apr 3, 2019 · GameSpy wasn't just an authentication service, it was the 'middleware' server that service that handled communication between clients, also. No server = no online gaming. Saints Row 2, Star Wars Battlefront, Nintendo's WiFi, and DS/Wii online gaming and a whole lot of stuff died when the servers went down.

Aug 30, 2015 · I remember Gamespy Arcade really well. What I remember from even before that and what I enjoyed even more was Kali.net. I also enjoyed TEN and eventually Mplayer. If anyone remembers those services that was the golden age of PC gaming :)
