Noriko Kamachi (蒲池 法子, Kamachi Noriko, born 10 March 1962), known professionally as Seiko Matsuda (松田 聖子, Matsuda Seiko), is a Japanese singer-songwriter, known for being one of the most popular Japanese idols of the 1980s.
Since making her singing debut, Seiko Matsuda has received more than 40 music awards and holds the remarkable record of releasing 24 consecutive No. 1 singles. From early on in her career, she has been active overseas, even appearing high on the U.S.A. BILLBOARD dance charts.
