If it is a statement from the mortgage the bank should keep records 6 years after the mortgage was settled so if its still active or was paid off in the last 6 years then he may be able to get it.

They can request one to come in the post, however they may not be able to print off an official statement, but they may be able to do something with your address on and transactions.

Assuming account was closed less than 6 years ago, cost is £1 per statement, up to max £10. As I didn't want to waste any more of the agent's time, I didn't ask about costs for accounts closed longer than 6 ...
