There are four or five possibilities for the source of loud noises from the inside of the computer; the technicians must know which item is the problem in order to send out a service call. For the fans, please check and see if one specific one is causing the noise.

Oct 6, 2011 · Desktop Humming Noise. My Dell Studio XPS 8000 is making a loud humming noise. It is constant and begins as soon as I boot up. I have cleaned all the fans including gpu, cpu and psu. I have even reset the thermal sink and fan, applied Arctic Silver 5. Thoroughly clean interior using compressed air.
