- Seapunk. This genre gives off the vibes of an ‘underwater scene’ and is probably considered one of the most visually creative genres out there. It originated in 2011 and has a lot of electronica and hip-hop elements fused with retro-futuristic elements.
- Witch House. This genre got its name from a post on a message board and it combines darkwave, witch-pop and industrial techno. It has dark electronic sounds that often seek to evoke a bright amount go negative emotion and atmosphere.
- Synthwave. Synthwave blends 80s synthpop, new wave, and retro electro with modern production techniques and has a movie soundtrack-like feel to its lyrics.
