It just strikes me how he can marry someone who is the complete opposite of himself. I think Alex Curran saw him as abit of a weak target.

From what she told me she was a bit of a soft- sh1te. Her an her mate were always money hungry hence the reason why they only dated older 'gangsters' back in the day.
Apr 4, 2008 · I have to say Alex has always come across as quite a hard-faced madam. I can't abide her bit's in the paper. Most people have to slave for years in university to get into National papers and yet marry a footballer and boom here you go have a page to write whatever crap you want love.
Alex Curran is an inverted snob. A hair's breadth - being a footballer's wife - is what keeps her from being very much a part of typical Liverpool culture. Even the Daily Mail called her an ex-gangster's moll.
