The principal mission of the Corning Police Department is to preserve the rights of citizens and to foster confidence in their well being through the prevention of crime, protection of persons and property, and the maintenance of order in public places.
The Public Works Department is responsible for providing infrastructure and related facilities and services in a cost effective manner. The functional areas of the department are Administration, Streets Division, Fleet Division, Water Department and Wastewater Treatment Plant.
