Jul 31, 2024 · I think Easy to Wed stands a good chance due to Lucille Ball's excellent comedic performance in the film. Plus, as a remake of Libeled Lady (I know the purists won't agree) I think it's a solid film. What's interesting to me is how MGM dialed back on the swimming spectacle right after the massive success of Bathing Beauty.
