Usually Hollywood Movie sequels are rarely as good as the original film in any given Franchise, and while Ant-Man and the Wasp isn’t quite as good as the first “Ant-Man” film in 2015, this film still stands alone as a superb sequel, nothing very morally offensive, great special effects, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, all have the same great chemistry done to perfection.

Jul 17, 2015 · Positive — Having seen the 2015 film “Ant-Man” for the first time, a few days ago, I was impressed. Paul Rudd gave a superb performance, he was both funny and heroic in his role as Scott Lang/Ant-Man. The movie had a positive moral message about how it’s important to reject a life of crime.
1 = extremely poor for the film’s genre. 3 = average for the film’s genre. 5 = top of its genre, fully excellent. Base your rating on Biblical standards, NOT a secular worldview. Average = somewhat offensive. Better than Average = only slightly objectionable. Good = good morals, clean and NOTHING Biblically offensive.
The hero with the biggest upgrade in screentime is Ant-Man , who’s given some of the best one-liners in the movie. The overall scope of “Endgame” is toned down quite a bit from “Infinity War,” but there’s still an impressive action scene late in the game that will definitely stand out as a favorite moment for fans.

So from my perspective, the film was just average and was rather derivative. Although I could cite older fare, to reference newer films, I thought at times, I was watching Puss In Boots in Quantumania, there were lots of similarities of plot beats and visual ideas, particularly of the latest Ant Man film (which itself was just so-so).
