how in the fuck is the oculus arguably the most popular and one of the most advanced headsets on earth and we can't even change the install path of the quest app on PC without doing so in a command prompt?
The fix is pretty easy. Open regedit (just open the start menu and type it). Then you need to manually build this "folder structure": HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Oculus VR, LLC\Oculus\Libraries\. HKEY_CURRENT_USER and Software is already there. So, Just copy "Oculus VR, LLC", right click on Software then New -> Key -> paste the name.

Find the executable (.exe) for the game you've just downloaded and installed/extracted (you may have to look around in the game directory depending on what game) and add it as a Non-Steam game shortcut within Steam.

As a VR content creator, this is a very exciting topic for me, I can imagine this reducing the CPU/GPU load to such an extent by bypassing the oculus software and letting people with lower grade hardware being able to play games that we underperforming and get stable frames.
