Primo Piazzais a themed attraction in the Pak Chong district. It is a recreation of a rural Italian town – complete with cobblestone streets, sprawling green fields, farm animals, and all the other trappings of a quaint Tuscan village. I came here with my family in December on a weekday at 4.30pm, and the place only had a handful of other visitors....
We had to pay to enter this attraction. The adult ticket costs THB200, while a child ticket costs THB100. It opens from 9am to 6pm daily, with the last entry at 5.30pm.
First, we walked through the large Italian-style entrance gate that was covered with lush greenery. Once inside, there were plenty of good spots for photo ops. I had lots of fun feeding the hungry alpacas in the barn! They rushed to the fence immediately whenever they saw visitors holding food. I patted one alpaca on its head while feeding it, but it probably cared more about the food than anything else.
Next, I headed outdoors to the sheep farm, where there was literally one whole herd of hungry sheep waiting to be fed. This was the closest I had ever gotten to a herd of sheep. For me, the highlight of Primo Piazza was definitely the beautiful scenery. I simply loved the lush meadows, colourful flowers beds and vivid foliage, all set amidst a tranquil mountainous backdrop. I also stumbled upon a faux (but pretty) windmill. For someone who hails from a big city, this was the perfect place to unwind and get close to nature.
If you are feeling hungry, there is a cafe and ice cream parlour here. I did not get to try the food but apparently the gelatos are really good because they are made with milk from the local dairy farms. There is a small souvenir shop too.
I had a great time at Primo Piazzain Khao Yai! However, don’t expect to spend too much time here because the complex is quite small, and the only activities available are feeding the animals and taking photos.
