Ahh I sadly need to bust your bubble but there was no Scirocco in 72 The Scirocco MK1 was available from 74 to 81 and the MK2 form 82 to 92, the picture you posted is a MK2 though as you mentioned. #160 Moonser, May 2, 2017.
Volkswagen tends to put the rain tray and firewall right up against the strut towers (VW chassis having more round shapes, and Audi Chassis having square shapes) and the Scirocco is no exception. -You modelled a rear differential on a car that never came in a 4wd (VW Syncro) The Scirocco has a rear beam just as every FWD VW product had until the mid 2000's.
