Laura Poitras (/ ˈ p ɔɪ t r ə s /; born February 2, 1964) is an American director and producer of documentary films.
Laura Poitras is an American filmmaker who has won an Oscar for her 2014 documentary Citizenfour, about Edward Snowden. She is also known for her previous works on Iraq, Guantanamo Bay, and WikiLeaks.
