AFI Fest - Film #10. As a thriller, it was taut. However, a steamy love story between Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem, it was not. "Everybody knows" is a phrase used in the beginning and we think we are let on in the secret early in the game. Sep 12, 2018 · Todos lo saben (‘iedereen weet het’) is Farhadi’s Spaanse project, zoals Le passé (2013) zijn Franstalige project was. Helemaal onbegrijpelijk is die keuze voor een Spaanstalige film niet want Farhadi kreeg de kans om te werken met Javier Bardem en Penelope Cruz, het koningskoppel van de internationale filmwereld, nu Brangelina in een vechtscheiding ligt.
Feb 8, 2019 · Aesthetically flawless and brilliantly acted, but too melodramatic and generic for me. I think there are several layers. There is the first layer of the film that is a thriller - though not necessarily in the meaning of a detective story or a film trying to surprise and confuse the viewer - but this aspect is just a pretext to plunge into the path of my characters.
