"Rise of the Spetsnaz" sneakily copies the exact same elements that made the original "Outpost" worthwhile, namely the isolated setting, a cast full of "heroes" that are already and difficult to sympathize with, showing the Nazi zombies as little and as late as possible in the film, and depicting the Nazi superiors as short-sized but loathsome and arrogant little cowards.
