Jun 21, 2012 · A shamefully underrated film, Fedora is Wilder's testament and one of the most sublime achievements of the '70s.
The plot focuses on a producer who goes off to find the great actress Fedora and lure her out of retirement. Wilder employs an overdose of melodrama and often focuses on the moviemaking process and name dropping. It's very much a classic styled film but with a pitch black heart.
