Brief Synopsis. George Peppard reprises his role as Sergeant Frank Doakey, an honest police detective who is fighting to keep organized crime out of Los Angeles in the 1940s. Film is set in the 1940's with George Peppard investigating a series of murders. George plays his character as if he were doing Banacek, or Hanabal Smith. He does on of his old proverb routines, reminiscent of Banacek, making this a fun, good 80's enjoyable TV movie.
