Our school is centered around inquiry, community, and creativity. We take teenagers seriously—as thinkers, decision-makers, creators, and citizens. Our classes are small, heady, and discussion-based.

Curriculum. Classes at Buxton are designed to engage hearts and minds. Teachers teach what they are passionate about, and students are encouraged to have passionate responses to the subject matters. Conversation, dialogue, even heated debate are encouraged in all Buxton classes. The curriculum, on its surface, is fairly traditional.
