The films ending is bitter sweet but other than that it's good. Overall, it's a 1980's classic crime drama film which really captures the gritty feel of prison life & crime in England back in the 80's. Roger Daltrey portray's John McVicar well & the other actors, inmates & police etc also do well with their parts.
