    Series 6 of Strictly commenced on 20th September 2008.

    The series featured 16 competing celebrities, an increase of two from the 14 in the previous series.

    Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly returned as presenters, and Craig Revel Horwood, Arlene Phillips, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli all returned as judges.

    Brian Fortuna and Hayley Holt, whom had previously appeared in the American and New Zealand versions of the show, and Russian dancer, Kristina Rihanoff joined the professional lineup alongside most of the professionals from the previous series. Nicole Cutler was the only professional to not return for the series.
