She is currently Associate Professor of Chinese literature in East Asian Languages and Cultures. Prof. Chiu is the author of Bannermen Tales (Zidishu): Manchu Storytelling and Cultural Hybridity in the Qing Dynasty (Harvard University Asia Center, 2018).
