Music for Piano and Drums is the first studio album by a duo consisting of Swiss keyboardist Patrick Moraz and English drummer Bill Bruford. Both were members of Yes at different times (Bruford from 1968- 1972 and Moraz from 1974-1977), and the two had played together on Yes bassist Chris Squire 's solo album Fish Out of Water in 1975.

Under the name Moraz/Bruford, the two released Music for Piano and Drums (1983) and Flags (1985), two albums recorded on acoustic instruments. The albums were supported with several live shows, including a tour of Japan.

Bill Bruford set up two record labels, Summerfold and Winterfold, both distributed through Voiceprint. Winterfold reissues remastered albums from Bruford's back catalogue from 1977 to about 1985-7 and the formation of Earthworks: i.e., primarily Bruford and Moraz/Bruford albums.
