Temur Babluani (Georgian: თემურ ბაბლუანი) (born 20 March 1948) is a Georgian film director, script writer, and actor.
The Sun of the Sleepless (Georgian: უძინართა მზე Udzinarta mze, "Sleeping sun") is a 1992 Georgian drama film directed by Temur Babluani. It was entered into the 43rd Berlin International Film Festival where it won the Silver Bear for outstanding artistic contribution.
Given the renewed interest in Georgian cinema in recent years, it is striking that the work of Temur Babluani and his Sun of the Sleepless in particular have largely eluded the attention of Western curators and programmers alike.
