He is the founder and owner of the film production company Sumanth Art Productions. He won three Filmfare Awards — becoming the first producer to receive three consecutive Filmfare Awards — for the films Okkadu (2003), Varsham (2004), and Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana (2005).
Production. The film was officially announced in May 2021 coinciding with the birthday of M. S. Raju. Speaking to 10TV, Sumanth said that the filming will begin in June 2021. The film was shot extensively in Udupi and Mangalore of Karnataka and Goa.
