    The Dollanganger Series,, is the first series written by V.C. Andrews. The first two books, Flowers in the Attic and Petals on the Wind, are narrated by Cathy. 

    Flowers in the Attic, follows the lives of the Dollanganger siblings following the devastating death of their father and the aftermath of being locked up in the Foxworth Attic for three years. 

    Petals on the Wind, follows the children's escape from Foxworth Hall and the ensuing years as the children grow up and try to get on with their lives following the trauma that occurred during their childhood years. 

    If There Be Thorns and Seeds of Yesterday, follow the lives of Cathy's children, including them learning their parent's secrets from the past.

  2. Flowers in the Attic is a 1979 Gothic novel by V. C. Andrews. It is the first book in the Dollanganger series, and was followed by Petals on the Wind, If There Be Thorns, Seeds of Yesterday, Garden of Shadows, Christopher's Diary: Secrets of Foxworth, Christopher's Diary: Echoes of Dollanganger, and Christopher's Diary: Secret Brother.
