Breaking News is a gig in Cyberpunk 2077.

When you approach the area, Muamar Reyes will call you to start this job, directing you to meet with Ted Fox, a reporter for N54 news, who is waiting in a car outside the Kendachi factory. Ted explains that he wants to publish an expose about Kendachi cooperating with 6th Street to design its latest product line, but he needs V to help him acquire proof of this connection by covertly installing a tracker on a Kendachi transport. V must sneak into the factory, plant the tracker on the van, and get out without raising any alarms. Take the tracker from Ted to proceed.

The factory grounds are small, and there are only two cameras, both outside the main building, but several security guards patrol the parking lot. Two guards are also inside the building: one in the garage with the van and another in the adjacent office.

A fast stealth strategy is to equip Fortified Ankles or Reinforced Tendons and enter the factory from its roof by circling around behind it and climbing up using the dumpsters. Once on the roof, there is an unlocked hatch in the skylight that can be opened. Watch out for the guard near the van below, and jump down onto the van. Take down the guard and hide the body in the crate behind the van. Next, place the tracker by interacting with the van's driver-side panel door. To exit, simply go back the way you came by jumping up to the skylight from the van's roof (this is where the leg implants are most helpful) and leave by way of the dumpsters.

Once V is clear, Muamar will wire payment. If no one was alerted, he will be pleased and provide a bonus through a nearby dropbox. Otherwise, Teddy will still get the proof he needs, but Muamar gives V a "C minus" for their performance.

My client's Ted Fox, an N54 reporter. He's doing a story on the link between gangs and corps. On paper, they're enemies, but in reality, seems like the corporats and gangoons are scratching each other's backs. Key word - seems. Ted needs hard evidence.

On Working Drafts, Ted talks with other writers about their work—not so much the books they’ve published (although those definitely come up) but more what they’re writing right now, aka their works in progress, their working drafts, their open Word documents making them want to throw their computers out a window.
