In 2002, he was awarded the Austrian Cross of Honour for Science and Art, 1st class (Österreichische Ehrenkreuz für Wissenschaft und Kunst). Wolf is married to fashion model and songwriter Lea Wolf-Millesi, and lives in Malibu, California.
