Christine graduated with a BA in English Literature from Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge, in 1987. After working as a business and advertising copywriter, and then as a freelance magazine journalist and cinema critic for Radio 2's 'Cinema Two', her first job in television was as development assistant at British Screen, working with Tessa Ross.
